Our commitment
We want every teacher to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. [TBD: conformance status after testing, e.g. “partially conforms,” only once an audit has been done (Q-A11Y-1)]
What we’ve done
- Chosen colors that meet WCAG AA contrast.
- Used a typeface designed for readability, with text that resizes with your browser settings.
- Made every feature usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Added a “Skip to main content” link.
- Written alt text for meaningful images.
- Respected your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Written in plain language.
[TBD: confirm each item is true of the built site before publishing (Q-A11Y-1)]
Known limitations
[TBD: list known issues after testing, or state “We’re not aware of any at this time” only if true (Q-A11Y-1)]
Some links lead to GitHub and other sites we don’t control. Their accessibility may differ.
Browsers and assistive technology
[TBD: browsers and assistive technologies the site was tested with, e.g. listed after testing (Q-A11Y-1)]
